Just found this cleaning-up... is it a bunch of #595 stamps, or the EKU (accd. to The Swedish Tiger) for #554? Sent from NYC on 10-15-1923, and arrived a day later in Waterbury CT

The first day of issue of 554 is Jan 15, 1923.
(I think you are seeing dates for sub-varieties of 554.)

I saw that too, but TST lists the EKU, with picture, for #554 as 11-23-23. His error?

The Scott U.S. Specialized catalog is clear that 11-23-23 applies to 554d.
I don't use the Swedish Tiger site.

Thanks... I try to receive information from as many different sources as are offered. Some are faulty, but observing that is good to know...

Stamps are Scott 554. The vertical margins between the stamps are too wide for 595. A 554 has 11 perforation tips and 10 holes or 11 holes and 10 perforation tips within the width of the design at the top or bottom. A 595 is slightly wider and has room for 11 perforation tips and 11 perforation holes within the width of the design.

In the future, please use a scanner and be smart, use Stamp Smarter.

Cleaning up my Swedishtiger.com website. It was done in 2003 when I first started stamps. The new updated pages should be far more accurate

Thank you so much Rogdcam, I have made the correction. You may need to clear the cache on your computer to see the updated images. This is one of the old pages which were done in 2003 and are full of errors, the newer pages will have a lot less. If you, or for that matter, anyone else spots an error please let me know.
