Hi Partime

I had a closer look at the shade as I have a rare 1949 half-penny kangaroo with the same shade and with a certification certificate. You are correct, you have a good eye for colour, it is actually pale orange-yellow (aka Mellow-Yellow). Below are the two stamps together. I have corrected the information.

Pale Orange-Yellow

Thanks for changing that Rob. Makes me feel a little better. I'm going to post a challenge in a different thread on a completely different color, as I feel I have problems with a different shade.

Real good to run the eye over the colour names and the stamps. Seems to be good training not real approached in the large example form.

Great Thread kg5

Hi kg5

I prefer showing large detailed images and the brief info of the stamp so members can easily identify any of the KGVI and QEII stamps in their collection. It is good to know the positive feedback I am getting from fellow collectors, as it lets me know my thread is having the effect I had intended it to be.

Rob
