They both are space topicals and as such they may be a bit more valuable than usual. They also seem to be CTO's ( cancelled to order ), something that a lot of folks seem to frown upon. Rare ? This is not the rare variety in my opinion

I think you should: www.stampsmarter.comA lot of information on where to begin and become better educated on what you have. We have all been through it. It takes years as a student to learn about this great hobby and you will never complete all the abundant branches of it all. Afterwards you can pick an area to specialise in. |

The first stamp is Scott 1216 and the second is Scott 1262. Very common. Besides the red overprint the text in the upper left and upper right are different. Because the topic is Space and the unit of currency is the Filler these stamps are space fillers. |

With stamps, you should assume (correctly), that 99% of the time they are not 'valuable'. Most are worth less than a penny, quite a few may be worth $1-20, very few are worth $20-100, and Extremely few are worth more than $100. I can count on my hands and toes how many I have worth more than $500. |

I do understand there are many common stamps and it takes a life time to find valuable ones That's what makes it so difficult when you inherit a collection that's come from two people that have been in the hobby since childhood So I can't help but wonder if There's gem or two |

No gems simply stamps. No $ just ˘. The riches come in the form of knowledge. Have fun. |
