This is the narrow crown watermark issue of 1920 (Die IIB). SG number is 40b.

Is this Die IIA? If so, can you have Die IIA (not listed) and Die IIB on the same stamp?

jimjamtwo,
Your stamp is correctly identified as Die IIB.
The Die IIA frame break is one of the characteristics of Die IIB.

It is only die IIA if it does not have the other characteristics of Die IIB, such as the break above ST and the small break in the top right hand corner. Yours has both of those so it is Die IIB.

fairdinkum, thanks for the clarification!

This stamp is from a block of four. Do you happen to know if there's a premium for blocks or whether the CV would just be four times that for the regular stamp?

jimjamtwo,
The Australian catalogues do not list a premium for a non-marginal block of four but there may be some collectors who would pay more for a block.

It's annoying that they don't, because in many cases blocks can be very rare. A few blocks of 'roo blocks were listed on ebay recently at quite high prices compared to single stamps.
