I have several of these, and love the beautiful engraving on this 100+ year old stamp. Please help identify the Plate number of this imprint block of 8. This is Scott 17, ACSC BW 59. There are 4 possibilities, as this was printed in 4 different plates. ACSC states, "The imprints were hand-engraved and differences therefore occur in the lettering of each imprint, which enables the imprints from different plates to be identified."

I think it is Plate 3, which has no listed varieties in the group.

There is only one stamp with a hint of any type of re-entry. That is the top row, 3rd stamp, shown here. There is a light vertical line down the right side that may help plate this one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Partime,
The ACSC KGV catalogue indicates that the imprint is under stamps 114 to 117.

The stamp above no. 117 is 107, since the sheet was made up of rows of 10.

On plate 2, 2/107 has weak shading under ONE PENNY. The corresponding stamp on your block (top right) appears to have weak shading, so it might be plate 2.

Stamp 116 (2nd from right on bottom row) might also have the retouched right frame, further confirmation of plate 2.

Thanks. That seems to fit the varieties with my stamps.
