I'm not sure I have these identified properly, and reliance on Google translate doesn't always tell the whole story.

These cards from the 1920s have both revenue and postage stamps affixed.

Can anyone provide the full story on these?

Phrases on the cards translated by Google:

FRONT:

Logar para os sellos de deposito
Log in for deposit stamps

Logar para os sellos de premio
Log in for award stamps

BACK:

Thank you for that link. I've looked for more recent versions online but could not find any, and I don't want to purchase a new version of the catalog just for that tiny section, so I've made an attempt to translate that section to English and also convert the values to U.S. dollars.

My foreign language ability is NIL, so I've relied on Google translate and a multilanguage philatelic dictionary page. Even so, there are words and phrases that I cannot find the English philatelic equivalent for.

Additionally, I would appreciate some doublechecking in the event of translation errors or errors in my part with respect to interpretation.

I've highlighted in yellow the terms that I cannot determine equivalents for.

Thanks in advance.

Revenuecollector:

You might want to take a look at the DeepL translation program. They have an online capability for short translations.

I have used it on both Spanish and German materials, and found it gave better results than Google Translate.

Of course, anything philatelic has lots of philatelic specific terms so one has to treat these automatic translations as suspect.

One of my favorite stories from the past about machine translation was regarding the first effort to use a compute to translate Russian to English and also in the opposite direction.

They tried it with the idiom: "Out of Sight; out of mind", translating it directly from English to Russian, then back from Russian to English, and got as a result: "Blind; insane".
