Just forund this - including the stamp (bottom left), that says "Oshkosh, Wis. Jan 1849"

The meter impression says Jan 18'49, thus January 18, 1949.

Thanks John!

That makes A LOT more sense now.

I had many many questions as to the whole setup of the stamp (18-49 looked off, the whole modern impression etc.)
I should have figured that out - but hey you can´t win every time :)
