Hi Jaxom -- Here is a copy of 1R6 showing the GD at upper left. Scanned at 1200dpi -- and uploaded here thanks to Don's help. Regards // ioagoa PS -- My copy of 61R6 is cut too close at left to show the GD -- but at least this will help fill one of the holes in your chart. |

I was still able to go back and update the post and image to include your 1R6 guide dots (both). Do you have a copy of 90R6 I can use? I found 14 stamps on plate 6 right that I added to the database that were the original Chase plating image. They have a green border instead of a black border. |

Hi Jaxom -- Here is a 1200 dpi scan of 90R6 -- plated by Dick Celler. Thanks again to Don for helping me get this scan posted up as it is well over the SCF file size limit. Regards // ioagoa |

Thank you Ioagoa for the image of 90R6. It is in the database. What format are your images in? I saved that image as posted and it was only 162kb in jpeg format. Well under the 300kb max for this forum. I have no issues posting 1200 dpi images.
Edit: 162kb not 162mb. |

Hi Rick, The file system size of the original is 965 KB (forum upload size limit is 300 KB) so the image in Ioagoa's post is hosted from Stamp Smarter. The image is 1035 x 1253 resolution and has a 24 bit color depth. Don |

Don -- Thanks for responding to Jaxom with the tech specs on my 90R6 scan that you hosted for me on StampSmarter -- much appreciated.
Jaxom -- As a test, I downloaded my 90R6 scan from SCF and compared the file stats to my original scan -- with no change in file specs from those posted by Don.
FYI -- I am a novice when it comes to scanning technology -- and do not fully understand all of the technology -- but I can tell you that all of my scans are made with an Epson V-600 scanner -- using the Epson scanning software that came with the scanner -- and with default settings as follows -- HOME mode -- PHOTOGRAPH -- 1200 dpi -- with no other image enhancements or manipulations of any kind. I am using a Windows based system -- and save everything as a jpg file format. Not sure why your download would have shrunk the file size -- unless there was some sort of manipulation to the file that occurred in the process? Hope that helps answer your question.

I made an error above and changed to 162kb not mb. I just checked a page of images on my computer that are all 1200dpi images. They average 160kb to 220kb each in jpeg format. The only thing I do on almost every image I upload is have to change format from "RGBA" to "RGB". I have to or my program will not save the image. I wonder if that has something to do with it, |

When you save the image your application is saving it using a different compression algorithm, this is what is making the 162 KB size.
Try downloading the image in this thread by right clicking on it, and then select 'Save As'. Once it has downloaded, right click on the file name and go to 'Properties' and look the file size. It should be 965 KB. Don |

Wow. You are correct. It has been a long time since I downloaded directly. My download is set to auto open with image program. But the image is the same physical (graphical) size. I opened that image (965kb) and saved it and it dropped to 163kb. And I did nothing to the image. That is weird. Both images are 1035 x 1253. |

My 1200 dpi sheet images have 25 stamps per page. They come in at 78mb in PNG and I changed the save to JPEG and it is 6.4mb for 25 images. |

Here are the compression charts for the right pane of Plate 6. The A relief, B relief and C relief charts are not compressed and the full pane chart is compressed at 75% as needed to post here. 1200 images complete, only 1400 more to go. These charts have been uploaded to the database at full size for your use. I will keep pushing on and eventually get them completed. Thank you all for your patience. Comments appreciated. Don, you can recompile the right pane of plate 6 now. All images are there. Stan Shepp, thank you for your plate reconstruction images. Without them I could not have completed this pane. There are 14 stamps, now in the Stamp Smarter database, that are of the actual Chase images for this plate. It was a pleasure finding these images. Those images are in the database with a dark green border instead of black. |

I just received images for plate 8. There are 4 positions missing, two of which are not in the database currently. They are 44R8 and 59R8. If anyone has either of these two positions, please post a copy for me. Thanks. |
