Hi everyone, I'm not sure I'm considered a philatelist because I'm just get started. Anyway, my name is Nghia but most people called my Will as they can't pronounce my name properly! I'm currently an undergraduate who got interested in collecting stamps because of the history. I'm always admiring objects that are historical but collectable at the same time (coin for example). I have been collecting coin but it doesn't went anywhere as that my parent wasn't very supportive. Recently, I started to collect stamps as that I been keeping a lot of mails around the house that are attached with a stamps. Thus, I'm inspired to collect them. So, that's, I hope that this forum will support me in my path of collecting stamps! Thank everyone for reading my post! Stay safe! Nghia! We are looking forward to your contributions! I'm sure you will have questions. There are a lot of friendly people here who will be glad to help you out. When you get to 50 posts so you can message other members, there are a lot of collectors here that would be glad to help you out growing your collection with giveaways. Dan |

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example. I collect for enjoyment, not investment. APS Member #223433 Postmark Collectors Club Member #6333 Meter Stamp Society Member #1409 |

Will, What is your area of study? There should be many stamps and event covers related to your interest. Keeping stamps on cover preserves the history of their use regardless of their topic or age. Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ |

Hi everyone! At the moment, I pretty much collect French postage because that's the only thing I have access to! I'm currently study in lycée and I'm an aspiring CS student. |

Welcome to philately Will. Once you and I get enough posts, I will gladly share or give some of my extensive doubles to you. Do you have a particular country or topical interest? An album you are using to display your collection? BobbyT |
