Petrol-style lighter fuel works. Saturate the whole stamp, both sides, leave a few seconds, and it starts to become peelable.
Back of the stamp remains sticky though, after you peel it off. Several different ideas how to deal with that - I just re-stick mine to unobtrusive white paper and trim neatly.
I use alcohol based hand sanitizer. Cover the back of the paper the stamp is on, let it soak for 3-5 minutes and the stamp should peel off. The glue is usually still on the stamp.

I use Bestine and then scrap the leftover glue off with a credit card. A better smelling option is Pure Citrus air freshener. However, the easiest way is to just leave the stamp on paper and cut around it leaving a small border.
