Hello, Just registered on the forum tonight. Been collecting since I was 8 years old, for over 40 years. Main focus is on USA, Germany, Italy, and Canada though I have been expanding world wide this year as I've had the time and bought a huge 3 box garage sale find of US and WW stamps, covers, and sheets. I'll be posting some of the finds as I get the time.

Glad to be here. thank you.

Welcome Gibby01

Sounds like a fun find, I have never had the fortune of such a find here.

Glad you could join us and looking forward to your postings.

Gibby01,

I also started collecting when I was eight. My first cover was a post card from my great grandfather's country general store post office counter. What covers do you have? I study registered covers if you have any questions about them.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ

Thank you everyone, and to answer hoosierboy 95% of my covers came from a huge haul I found over the summer. The covers were worldwide though heavily from Europe. Most postmarked in the 60's (some registered) though a few goodies dipped back into 1930's Germany. The US covers go back to the turn of the century though I haven't fully researched everything I have there as the WW material is the first to be tackled due to the space it is taking up. I do see some US registered covers back to the 1930's I may be able to post some in the next week or two if you are interested. Lots of more collectible type FDC's and such also I may post, including a nice one from Japan 1955 I was planning on posting soon.

Won't speak for everyone, but think we all are most always interested in photos of everyone else's material, so post away Gibby.
