I ran across this during some sorting recently. It appears to be a single (upper right 0f the pane) from the early booklet issued in 1900. I would appreciate any comments regarding my tentative identification.

The booklet stamp suggestion makes sense, although I'd like to see a full pane to confirm.

To me, the top edge does not look straight or original if I look at top left and top right.
It may be just my eyes, or?

dutchman1948 Measuring, I cannot find a difference from frame to the edge but that is eyeballing with an SG Perf Guage. I see what you are referring to though. The copy itself is pretty beat up and is scuffed along that top edge. It is wider at all points than a measure from the bottom of a perforation to the frame line.

Gee, I am not a specialist, but would very surprised if not a booklet stamp.
Similar pane layout in my album.

Occam's razor again. What else could it be? I'm not familiar with Canada booklets but... What else could it be?
Margins too wide for whatever.
