I have one each of the 2½p and 5p Postal tax stamp with the design found on Scott RA1-RA9 without any overprints. Scott catalogue states these stamps were sometimes used as regular postage but does not have a listing for them. I am trying to value my collection. Can anyone provide me with a catalogue and value. I don't care which catalogue, my goal is to try to accurately identify each stamp. They are both used and in fair to good condition. Thank you

Try ebay or Delcampe to see if any of them sold and for how much

Both are fiscal "stamps", which - as you correctly state - have seen postal use (certain values in the range) when overprinted. Un-overprinted, they are listed in Duston as T. Timbre Fiscal 1941 refs 203, 204. I don't have recent values, but they are fairly common and low in value.
