Dgparent, the stamp in the first picture is probably not worth much. If it was a cancelled stamp it might bring something. For the two Zeppelin stamps check ebay or Delcampe and see what they sold for - that would be the best indicator of worth. Peter |

Please note that on NSK's second link that the German seller's description says "ohne gummi", meaning without gum.
The Michel Deutschland Spezial catalog refers the user to an earlier item, the OSTROPA souvenir sheet of 1935, to this important note (in bold type) concerning the gum. It says, "As the gum...contained sulfuric acid, removal of the gum was recommended.
Since your two zeppelin stamps appear unscathed and on whitish paper after 85 years, I assume the gum has long since been removed. |

Scott also notes the gum issue. I have had numerous examples of these zeppelin stamps over the years, some with original gum, and can attest that it gets very nasty with age and exposure to humidity. |

Yes gum removal is the only way to protect some German stamps; especially the ones with the gum containing sulfuric acid. |

The 50 one has gum - that one stamp I looked up the one that is 307A and they seem to be selling for like $800? The one that says 800 on it |

It is very unlikely that the German inflation stamp that you are showing with the 800 thousand (Thaussend) surcharge on it is worth anywhere near that. I cannot tell from your scan whether the dark green surcharge is on the 300 or 500 mark stamps. In either case they are listed at 25 cents for unused. If the surcharge is black on the 300 M stamp, then it has some value, but still less than $50.
These inflation stamps are very plentiful and I have a stockbook full of them that I can barely give away. |

The 50pf zeppelin stamp is Scott C57 and the other C58, I believe the card was used previously for a different stamp. Catalog value on those two are less than $20 each. Your scan on the 800,000mk stamp looks very much as if the overprint is the dark green, not black. I lean toward the overprint being on the 500mk base stamp due to the horizontal line at top of the 5. |
