Possibly the first stamps I ever handled.
We had to stick these in books after "Religious Instruction"
at Sunday School.
We would learn about a particular event, then paste in the appropriate stamp.

Nice cinders Rod.

I had to take RI (Religious Instruction) in primary school, and I was good at it. I still have the bible I was presented with for being such a good student.

I've read the Koran, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, more -ism's, and I'm still an atheist!

It's never to early to indoctrinate the young (no offence folks, just commentary from someone who had it thrust upon them unwillingly)

Spock, I read the vedas when I was a teenager. Please don't quiz me now I'm a lot older!

Lucky, thank you. I truly mean no offence to anyone.

Whatever was available from the library back in the '70's, so I assume they weren't the full deal.

some nice comments, folks.
It was a touchy subject, and I hesitated before posting, but certainly valid Cinderellas, and handled with the usual SCF aplomb.
I don't consider myself "anything" now, just open to any constructive thought.
I was surprised recently when I attended a Lenten study,
and the course involved meditation, centreing on the breath and bells lightly gonged, all staple Buddhist ritual.
The church is radically changing, no more "Thee" and "Thou"
the prayer book reads like a modern commentary, perhaps that was the intention to attract the young.
