Postal Stationery: It is Kochchi 1925 8P Ramavarmma XVI (1858–1932) Wells die II/Deschl die III sepia on cream laid bâtonné paper (Wells knife type IV/Deschl knife type K4+Wells flap type d) envelope (Wells 47/Higgins and Gage B15/Deschl E17) (12cm×9.5cm), printed in lithography by Associated Printers, Chennai.
There are only 3 recorded commercially used Kochchi 1925 8P Wells 47/H&G B15/Deschl E17 envelope.

Postmarks: The datestamps dt. Kanni 29,1106 i.e. Oct 15,1930 are Pai type 39/Trowbridge type 7b of Trippunittura AO (est. 1892) Trippunittura (9.9487°N 76.3464°E), now in Ernakulam district of Keralam state.
The tripartite oblong registration mark (4.4cm×1.3cm) shows the booking number of the registered article
190 and the weight
¾ (tola) after
W. (i.e.
Weight) in manuscript in red ink.
Postal Rate: The cover weighed 8.75gm (¾ tola) as indicated in the tripartite rectangular REGISTERED mark (Registered Letter No.190) after W (Weight), thus attracting 8P letter postage for the second weight slab i.e. between 6.83gm (½ tola) and 11.66gm (1 tola), the rate in effect from Jun 15,1922 to Aug 15,1932.
The registration fee was 2A per article from Nov 16,1910 to Aug 15,1932, which was paid by Kochchi 1916 2A SG 43.
Redirection: The cover was returned undelivered as the addressee had died, noted on the cover by the mailman of Andikkadavu AO (est. 1904) (9.8398°N 76.2695°E) in Kochchi city, now in Ernakulam district of Keralam state.
Redirection of registered articles sent to addresses within Kochchi state and to Tiruvitamkur state was done free of charge vide Article XII: Redirection of Articles; Rules 83 & 84(b) of Kochchi Añchal Act 1892 (1 of 1892).
