Maybe I should have put them in one post, but here is the other one I'm struggling with a bit. With the cut off bottom, I am guessing type II but would love a check or hint. Thanks.

I've been trying to do this myself but I'm pretty bad a plating. As I understand it this can only be a Scott 18 or 20. That is because the top and side ornaments are complete. But I don't have any other hint to narrow it down between the two.

You can identify it as a Plate 12 stamp. You'd probably have to try and plate it, but to me it looks like there is enough of the lower right plume to call it a Type 1, #18.

Not having much luck. Seeing some close, but none convincing. Stamps on the left side of plate 12 seem closer - eg. 44L, but just not finding one that feels quite right. Taking a break before I loose my eyesight.

Took another look and 44L12 is still my best guess. Anyone want to confirm or deny?
