Thailand 2007 Pa Hin Ngam National Park Chaiyaphum region on the edge of Khorat Plateau is known for many spectacular landforms such as cliffs, pillar or pedestal rocks, and cascades. Wind and water erosion of Jurassic-Cretaceous sandstone formation produced the oddly shaped outcrops in the Pa Hin Ngam National Park.  |

Vietnam 1984 Landscapes of Ha Long Bay Ha Long Bay is located near the city of Haiphong in northern Vietnam. Karstification of a thick Carboniferous limestone formation, together with sinking coastline, resulted in thousands of islets in various shapes and sizes scattering across the bay area.  |

Republic of Korea 2006 Mountains Ulsanbawi is a rocky ridge in the Seoraksan National Park on the east-central Korean Peninsula. It is made up of Jurassic granitoid and tops out at 873 meters above sea level.  |

Republic of Korea 2019 Natural Tourist Sites Chaeseokgang Beach is located on the Byeonsan Peninsula along the coast of Yellow Sea. Erosion of the Cretaceous sedimentary rock formations created wave-cut platform and sea cliffs.  |

Japan 1955 Rikuchu Kaigan National Park Jodogahama is a group of rock outcrops along the sandy coast of Miyako Bay. They are the erosional remnants of a Paleogene volcanic rock formation.  Kitayamazaki is an 8 kilometer long stretch of coastline in northern Iwate Prefecture. It features sheer, 150-200 meter high cliffs made of Early Cretaceous volcanic rocks.  |

Japan 1965 Joshin'etsu-kogen National Park Kiyotsu Gorge is located on the Kiyotsu River in Niigata Prefecture. The 12.5 km long canyon features V-shaped valley flanked by towering Pliocene porphyrite cliffs with columnar joints.  Japan 1965 Shiretoko National Park Mount Iwo is an active andesitic volcano on the Shiretoko Peninsula of Hokkaido. It is flanked by thick volcanic rock formations which form massive sea cliffs dotted with waterfalls and wave-cut caves.  |

Republic of China 1987 Kenting National Park Cape Maobitou on the southern coast of Hengchun Peninsula comprises uplifted Holocene fringing reefs. Erosion by ocean waves created geological features such as slumps, moulin potholes, reef pinnacles, and interlayer caves.  Republic of China 1989 Taroko National Park Taroko Gorge is a 19 km long canyon located near the central-eastern coast of Taiwan. Erosion by the powerful Liwu River against the constantly uplifting strata results in near-vertical walls of Permian marble, phyllite and gneiss formations.  |

Malaysia 2009 World Heritage Sites Mount Kinabalu (4095m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Crocker Range in Borneo. It is a Pliocene granodiorite intrusion into the Eocene and Miocene strata. Its craggy summit was created by Pleistocene glaciation.  |
