I'm based in the the UK…recently I have been seeing delays in receiving stamps purchased from Canada, one lot took 8 weeks, another 6 weeks and yet in some cases with purchase from Arpin Philately it only took 10 days….in some cases I am receiving deliveries I have purchased weeks later arriving before those I have purchased earlier.
Is anyone else having these problems or is there a specific problem in some areas of Canada…..all have been via normal post..Not registered

My stuff has been getting from Canada to UK/rest of Europe in good time, from the feedback I've been getting. No issues that I've heard of, and the Covid outbreak in one of the main Canada Post facilities is long over.

And they probably had to clear customs which often causes delays while they search for contraband, so it does not enter the country. Whether from unknown or well known companies, most parcels are scrutinized.

I would second what Just Fella said. I order from overseas and some shipments seem to hit here in no time while others can take over two months. Then I ship something to Queensland's AUS and it gets there in 2.5 months but my next shipment hits NSW in 10 days. Such is.

If I need something quick or the person I send to does, it must go by air if you want the time frame to be in around the under 2 week period (at least for parcels - lettermail often goes air so usually isn't as bad in *most* cases). But this is super pricey compared to surface. Surface can literally go by boat and any other means on the way to and from ports. Sometimes they appear to send it by air anyway just out of convenience (this has been much less with covid and subsequent decreased air travel) but if it goes by literal surface transport, delivery times can be alllll over the map. The longest I have personally seen is 4 months although that is a far outlier as it is usually in the 1-2 month range but it is possible.

Deliveries from Canada to UK used to be done in 15-20 days, in the 1850s, as confirmed by a few Montreal - London correspondance I have obtained. 160 yrs later, it appears that it has not improved much. COVID19 likely plays a part in current delays, or perhaps Canada Post has shifted its priorities to parcels, and what used to be called 1st class mail (private letters) appears to be considered last class now...
I have had many below par service experiences with CP in recent years, with little (if any) improvement or satisfactory explanations.
