Hello Everyone,
I thought I had better introduce myself again as it has been a long time, close to 5 years since I have been in these forums. I still have all the stamps I was working with back then, they are packed away and stored on another property for the time being.
Today I am faced with another huge project, I have approximately 150 postcards from the turn of the last century. Most have stamps on them - canceled of course, while some do not. I didn't know where to begin with them so I took them out of the album they were in and sorted them by those with stamps and those without stamps. The breakdown is 27 old cards without stamps, and the rest of the postcards have canceled stamps on them. A large number of the cards came from the San Francisco Bay Area, and then about 30 or so are from all over Europe from a son who wrote back to his mother as he traveled Europe. I also have a small stamp collection that I also have to deal with. So that is what I have to work on currently.
If anyone is interested in the postcards or their stamps I would sure love to hear from you. Unfortunately, I no longer have a Scott catalog, and if anyone knows of a sensible place where I can get one I would be eternally grateful. I prefer of course, that the Scott catalog be online.
And so, in the tradition of this forum as I remember it, I will scan a postcard in. I am choosing this postcard because it has a double cancel which intrigues me.
Thank you, Julie
