Help! I Am A Newbie And Need Some Assistance!

I have inherited my Grandfather's stamp collection and most was stolen, BUT one book somehow was dropped and left behind by the thieves. So I would love to learn more about my collection as it is now. Anyone who is interested or curious to see what I have is encouraged to reach out so I can determine if I should be storing these as valuables or can I just keep them as is for the sentimental value bc they are not worth much?!

I am new to the site and this forum stuff so hoping I can manage to see any replies or comments. Thanks so much in advance for anyone who may reach out.

Sorry to hear that you were robbed.
Though there is a thread about inherited collections - I believe you will be answered here too.
Scans are very welcomed - one of the joys among collectors is to show each other what they got.
About the collection's worth - be prepared to hear that the stamps are not too valuable, but one never knows. Over 90% of the half-million or so stamps that were printed are considered simple and cheap, no matter how beautiful they are.
There are other aspects of collecting that you might find appealing: Topical approach, historical story of the stamps, exotic origins and more.

The stamps you have are more valueable to you given their family heritage than any price you could sell them for.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
