Hey everyone, I just received hundreds if not thousands of stamps from my grandfather. How can I determine their worth? Is there anyone I can reach out to? Thank you
Welcome. Stamp were issued in very large numbers (often billions) and the majority have a market value of pennies. One quick way to understand market value is to understand how much a family member spent on their hobby. So if your grandfather was quite wealthy and spend a lot of money on his collection, then the material probably has significant value now. If desired, you can scan and post about 10 representative images of the collection; people in this community can offer fairly accurate opinions of the scope and quality of the material from the 10 images.
