Vanchester - if you have a lot of Japanese revenues, I recommend the Hasegawa catalogue of Japanese revenue stamps. I have this (7th edition, 2019?) and I have the 2004 edition of Shimomura's revenue catalogue, and I know many people prefer Shimomura (probably because it's been the standard for decades) but I really like Hasegawa's work. They're both in Japanese, but there is a little bit in English. I can speak/read Japanese but still prefer English - especially with philatelic terms - but I've found that Hasegawa's book is still a better and more recent work.

There are sellers in Japan offering it on ebay for about $75 including shipping. Well worth it if you want to pursue this rich, fascinating field of Japanese philately.

Addendum: I just checked the Hasegawa catalogue and these are from a set issued between 1961-1975, and the full set includes 39 stamps from 10 yen to 10,540 yen. The catalogue doesn't list prices for this set (which is strange to me) but these are not uncommon. I really like them, the pattern printed on the stamp background (some sort of "security" print) gives them a nice contrasting shade, and they're really well printed.

Last item to mention. If you are looking at a Japanese catalogue like this with prices in yen, you can easily convert roughly to US$ by dividing the price by 100. It's a rough estimate but one I've used for years, especially when I am in Japan. Of course like any other catalogue the pricing is subject to massive changes at any time...

This begs the question, where did 10,540 come from? A nice round number it's not.

For the record, NARUMI 2019 lists the 1980 Origami set,
which brings the full set to 68 stamps, largest value 2,000,000

I do not read Japanese, it seems Narumi, also do not include prices.
