Import duty needs to be paid is my guess, had it happen before. It's says to go to a office….not provide us with information. |

It is a scam phishing email. They are rampant. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK(S) TO GET A RECEIPT.
Only check on a shipping enquiry through a carrier's website. |

Looks like you may have to reset your settings against Spam. But whatever you do, do not ever answer these emails.

Yeah they're dangerous trash. I deleted them all and need to recheck my settings.
Thanks! |

Obviously a phishing scam. No official email would come from the "outlook.com" domain. The formatting and grammar is obviously a hack job (no pun intended), notice the space between 01 and the comma, as well as the phrase "at May 01" instead of "on May 01." How would the carrier have your email? How would the carrier be able to link your name and physical address on the package with your email address?
It's good that you were wary enough to question it, but it's worrying that you and Just_fella thought even for a second that it was legitimate. All's well that ends well, at least. |

I received something similar when I ordered from the UK, (I gave them my email as a contact) I called fedex and found out they wanted 18$ Import taxes before they would deliver. They had my books for a couple days, after I paid the 18$ they delivered them the next day.

Call the shipping service, give them the package shipping info and ask if this 'phishing' e-mail came from them. Do NOT open the e-mail or any attachments. Go directly to the source on your phone. I agree with classic_paper - outlook.com is hardly the domain name from a well-respected shipping company. |

Just fella, you are talking something totally different. The emails above are clearly fraud, and your post is confusing

Obvious phishing. Even suggesting that the carrier be called is dangerous. As soon as you click on 'get receipt' the phishing attempt has been successful. Just Fella's responses are not just confusing they are dangerous. |

It's a scam to get your personal information and to install viruses on your computer. You'll get those even if you're not expecting anything |

Just_fella,
That is not the point. OP looks for confirmation he received a phishing mail. This is obvious from the Post Office using an "outlook.com" email address when they have their own website. But here you come with an example where you suggest to have experienced something similar and it is perfectly legitimate.
It is a phishing mail.
Please, don't suggest - intended or not - it is not a scam by providing an irrelevant example. |
