Hi:
I'm looking for some help to positively identify this stamp. It appears closer to dull red rather than rose. Frame line on the right extends to the top but not to the bottom. It's difficult to see the left frame line. Are there any experts on these stamps here?
Thank you!
Steve

There are two threads with a lot of information on the issues, both imperforate and perforated.

Show Your US 1851-57 Imperforate Stamps and then the perforated ones as well. It seems that more than anything else the crux of the matter is the ability to correctly identify color from a digital scan, no one here is likely to accept your post as the actual color. Further there are many variations within the printings on the issue. hope that helps.

Thank you, I will look further. I know that scans do not always show the true colors, that's why I added my own determination of the closest color match.
