I have a collection of Canal Zone mounted on Scott 2-square post specialty pages copyright 1972. Pages do not have punched holes. Looking for binder/album recommendations and ideas.

Scott specialty two post binders are too thick. Hold 250 pages. I have 25 pages.

Pages are 10" x 11 1/2"

The stationary division of Lighthouse, Leuchtturm 1917, has several springback binders that ought to be thin enough to look appropriate for 25 pages.

There are 1 inch Scott Specialized Binders. I have a 40 page collection in one and it's pretty good. I don't know if they sell them new, so you may have to look for a used ones.

My Scott specialty pages are 10" x 11 1/2"

Lighthouse pages are 10 5/8" x 11 3/4"

Lighthouse binder 11 1/2" x 12 1/2" and holds 110 pages

What can go wrong ?

One inch Scott specialty albums haven't been made for some time. Used ones are popular but hard to find. There were old springback binders that fit that I used to run across, but unfortunately I don't remember the brands.

I like the Scott specialty page size, but have found no other binder currently available that would fit well. (EDIT: someone else has. But if you don't like ring binders...) I believe that's intentional as you might suspect. For the closest standard next larger size, I've found 3-ring US binders that take ANSI B paper size (11" tall x 17" wide) used for engineering drawings, but they have cheap rings and come with metal or floppy plastic covers. The European nearest bigger standard size is for A5 paper (11.7" tall x 16.5" approximately). Leuchturm does not have this size in their PEKA line.

Custom perfect binding would be a choice, but Kinkos and most outfits only deal in binding 8.5"x11" pages. Plus, I wouldn't trust the stamps staying on the pages. If duplicate pages are sent in for this, I'd glue a paper strip for spacing against the inside edges to avoid bulging, unless you decide to have a ring mech mounted.

I've looked at picking up another hobby and trying my hand at (fabric-covered) bindery. Supplies are available online. Posts would have to be machined if I decided to go that (preferred) way.

Scott does make a 3-hole 1" binder specialty binder. Still looking for opinions and options.

I have done well with 3 ring using hole reinforcers on Schaubek binders.
No experience punching holes on 25 pages

I am so so about springbacks but if they are the way to go ok. Actually once loaded I will have little to no reason to open.

Check Veloflex and Bindertek on Amazon, those might be options. Or, a document portfolio/binder, with sleeves?

Veloflex and Bindertek both too small if I have the sizes understood correctly.

I had an extra 1" stashed away but after IAN I'm not sure if I still have it, but if I do you can have it.

Thank you Ken. Here's hoping you find it high and dry!

I may have a binder on the way. Waiting for confirmation.

I have one you can have, it has seen better days but is still serviceable.

If desired, just cover the shipping cost. (I can add a few US souvenir pages to it so it qualifies as for USPS Media Mail, should make to shipping cost <$10.)

My binder source fell through. Ken let me know if you have the binder or I will take up Don on his offer.
