Going through my grandfather's things I found these. The pictures show a small selection, there are much more. Most are ~80-110 years old.

How would one go about getting these valued?

You can send the scans shown here to local dealers in Iceland or perhaps Jay Smith & Associates in America and be specific about how many there are. Then go from there to provide scans of all. If you intend valuation for insurance, the figure would be a retail one/replacement value and I would expect to be charged for the appraisal. If the intent is to sell, an offer would be made that would be a wholesale value and I would expect no charge for the valuation. You can get more than one evaluation and those should be fairly close to each other.

From what you have shown, these would have a wholesale value of 1-2 Euros each at best, the registered cover a bit more. These shown are fairly common with common postmarks. Note that Christiania, Norway is now Oslo.

Good luck!

Thank you for the reply! Some of them have sentimental value, and I intend to scan them all for digital safekeeping for the family. Mostly wondering if there are hidden gems there, maybe I'll post proper scans at a later date!

You are welcome. Thank you also for showing these and for the clear scans.

For collectors, the backs can be equally interesting if they have any markings there. Better items could include postmarks from and to small towns, markings other than the normal stamp cancel and receiving cancel (if any).
