Does anyone have reading/articles you would recommend on learning the terms used for early US stamps? I get confused when there is talk on the variations between perforations, what imperforates are, coiled vs. sheet, and how to pick out what variations are unique in the 1 cent varieties, etc.
The Scott US Specialized Catalog has such information as well. That is something you should have if playing with early US. Also I recommend a 2021 or old catalog as the great regular issue stamp identifier was no longer included after 2021, beginning in 2022 it became a separate purchase item. That was one of the more boneheaded moves by Amos.
