@drkohler Regarding your stroke over the stamp, with a #612, for example, you have the feeling of stroking over a "big nose" or over a bubble in the area of #8203;#8203;the nose when you gently stroke it at a slight angle from right to left ? If so, where does this effect come from, since it only seems to be on the rotary printed stamp?

I am only aware of the "feel" test being used to differentiate engraved stamps from offset printed stamps which has no application when dealing with these Harding's.

Well, I tried again and again for hours and when I get a #612 it feels like I'm brushing over a bubble or bubbles, which I can't detect in all the #610s I've tested. @drkohler described something above, which is strange. maybe he'll answer, let's see.

Running your fingers over an engraved stamp you should be able to feel the lines of the engraving. Some people use thin foil and apply pressure to see the engraving leave an impression. It has nothing to do with "bubbles". More likely it is a case of you wanting to feel something because it was suggested.

Yes, I feel a bump on #612, a bulge, as if you were stroking over a bubble or structure and yes, I can detect it reproducibly, but not on #610.

>When you glide a finger over the design, you should be able to feel the raised parts of the design, the surface does not feel flat.
What's so bad if I ask? Maybe he means something else, you can always learn something new?

Yep cancel my "feel post". I was in a discussion with someone about flat/ofset and incorrectly repeated it here it with the Harding issue. All Hardings are engraved so that doesn't work.
