Hi everybody,

I'm a young collector specializing in old italian postal history and stamps.
In particular, I look for old covers or postcards from Italy to foreign destinations (preferably the exotic ones) and mixed frankings too.

If any of you have the same interests or have material to give, please contact me :)

I also have postal history of many countries that I could give in exchange.

Have a nice day

pietrof89,

Enjoy having fun with stamps! That is the name of this game.

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences.

My personal bias is a used stamp loses the story of its journey in the postal service when it is removed from the cover it transported to its destination. Collecting postal history adds a whole new aspect to your journey in our hobby.

Wishing you many enjoyable future days in our hobby. Russ

I am a relatively new member to the forum too, it is good that you are young, this hobby needs lots of young people to keep it going.

I collect Great Britain Telegraphs. This is a telegram from London to Italy which is dated by day and month but not year. There must be someone out there who knows the years when this particular delivery form was used. This is an example of the questions that arise when you acquire material for your collection, and how forums such as this can often help to share knowledge.
