Ah! Teething, there was a young fella in the supermarket this morning, giving his mother merry hell, I overheard "teething". Not good, strange feeling when they munch on your thumb.

Hi Rod222 They turn up in auctions every now and then,There was a few on ebay a couple of days ago. I read an article about them a while back but don't remember where (maybe Stamp News)and the handstamp can be found in different colours for different stamps. Al. |

Bahamas 1920 Peace Celebration 1d carmine SG 107s One of the best KGV commemorative designs IMHO, and even prettier with the SPECIMEN overprint. |

Rod222, Watch that thing called 'curiosity' with Specimens. Back in the 1980's when AP was issuing the PAINTINGS series curiosity more than grabbed me, I was not satisfied with just one copy, end up buying full sheets of some issues, favorite is the $5--'Holiday at Mentone'.
My intention was to put that particular sheet up as a framed picture, but once secured away, never got back to it, most senior collectors know how it goes. |
