Ah! Teething,
there was a young fella in the supermarket
this morning, giving his mother merry hell,
I overheard "teething".
Not good, strange feeling when they
munch on your thumb.

Hi Rod222
They turn up in auctions every now and then,There was a few on ebay a couple of days ago.
I read an article about them a while back but don't remember where (maybe Stamp News)and the handstamp can be
found in different colours for different stamps.

1920 Peace Celebration 1d carmine SG 107s

One of the best KGV commemorative designs IMHO, and even prettier with the SPECIMEN overprint.

I'm not sure I can go all the way to "even prettier" but I sure think it's interesting. I've not seen that series with the specimen overprints.

Rod222, Watch that thing called 'curiosity' with Specimens. Back in the 1980's when AP was issuing the PAINTINGS series curiosity more than grabbed me, I was not satisfied with just one copy, end up buying full sheets of some issues, favorite is the $5--'Holiday at Mentone'.

My intention was to put that particular sheet up as a framed picture, but once secured away, never got back to it, most senior collectors know how it goes.
