Thanks
In your opinion- is this the large or small star wmk version?
I think large - but seems odd too see two on a single stamp
Especially when inverted
But I no expert - just been researching and learning

As far as I know, only India and New Zealand have the five pointed star in their Watermarks
India

Thanks Rod
I'll take the picture on the right as being relevant.
Yet - "inverted "
I hope that's right

If you agree on the multi-star wmk, it might be one of these: SG 204, 204a, 204w.
If I understand right, 204w is the inverted wmk, 204a is the mirror image of 204 wmk.
From Pshan's drawing it seems to me SG 204w.

Rod,

Many of those countries used Indian stamps or had strong ties to the post office in India until it gained independence.

Yes NSK,
I had put it down to the dandy roll, used on paper from the Crown Agents printers.
