Hi all, would you please take a quick look at these stamps I got from my aunt. We just keep them in a remberence box of all her other knick knacks and such. My cousin says they could be valuable; so if they belong in someone's collection being better well kept them we'd like to get them there. If they are collectables that don't mind being kept in a shoebox we'd like to know that also. At any rate thanks for your time.

Welcome. I'm afraid that these are penny stamps at the best of times, and of no value at all in damaged condition.

Their current home is a fine place for them. Is there any sort of family story about why she kept them? Was your family part of the "wagon train" settlement of the West?

If they take a few more dings as kids look at the box of trinkets, no harm done.

The stamps shown have the greatest value as 9 cents of postage towards the cost of mailing a letter.

Also understand that damaged, meaning creased, bent, folded, pieces missing and the like are not sought by collectors. if unused, use as postage.
