The four albums referenced are from the mid 1800's to the mid 1900's and contain thousands of stamps, some from places that I never heard of. I am not a collector and have little knowledge of stamps but I have learned a lot from searching Google, ebay and other places. The stamps are in the albums in new hinged, used hinged, loose new and used. A lot of the info I have comes from a CD that I got on ebay that contains 6 volumes of Scott stamps from 2009. I want to begin selling them on ebay but have a question. Should I detach the stamps that are attached to the albums with hinges or take the whole page out of the album?

If you scan a few pages of the earlier stamps from, say, USA, Canada, France,China, we might be able to advise you a little better.

bktrader, we would love to see some.
However, you live in the New York area. If you go to www.stamps.org you can get the info on several stamp clubs in the Greater New York area. That way you may be able to get someone in your area to look in person at your albums, which is always better than through pictures

If you are not a collector of stamps, yet want to sell them on ebay, you have a lot of work ahead of you. As suggested, please show us the earliest stamps from some countries, and we can suggest a path forward. (You may also want to consider going to a local stamp show/club and getting their opinion. Just don't accept the first offer.)
