I have read quite a bit about this famous upside down airplane stamp and I know that the stamp or blocks make news when they change hands. My question is this. I know that only one sheet of 100 was ever discovered. However are all 100 accounted for? Are there any missing?

About 95 of the 100 have been tracked.
There's a great website on them, invertedjenny.com .

Just lick it and stick it in your album.

I have a 1970 Scott National album which has a separate page for C3a.
Could be just the spot!

It also has a separate page for 294a, 295a, 296a, the 1901 Pan-American inverts.
So at least it's consistent, if rather optimistic.

It was smart to put those holy grails on separate pages. My Schaubek US had them all on the same page with their lowly (by catalog value) siblings which meant that 99.9999999% of us could never finish those pages. Grrrrrrrrr

Did Amos not think that someone with mid-five to seven figures to drop on single stamps could maybe have their own custom album created kind of like a Steiner only with leather and marbled end papers to go with the tooling and gold leaf?

Of course, Bill Gross used a National because he was a man of the people.

Even showed his page with the 85A in a mount during a video interview. Just another full page for that album.

For the 85A, see 5:50.
