Hello. Information please, purchased 20 years ago at an English auction house auction. I'm not sure about the catalog designation. Envelope 1851 One Penny pink used 1902 with SG 221a or 222a deformed leaf, see photo please.
Thank you very much Jiri Svagr

From the picture, it is difficult to confirm whether it is the deformed leaf variety. The stamp looks fine and the cancellation is good. That stamp is catalogued ca. Ł 200 used. So Ł200+ as it is.

Is this the possible deformed area? I don't have any catalogues that mention this variety.

No, starting bottom left, the fourth leaf: where the '3' of '23' is.

Here is a larger version of my copy, which, I'm going to guess, has the standard leaf in that position.

Let me correct my earlier post:

The fifth leave, the one on the right at the bottom is not complete. The picture in the SG specialised is not very clear. It looks like the example they printed is one with bad registration of the green.

@Partime: unfortunately, yours is a normal example. It would have catalogued at GBP 600 if it had the deformed leaf. Is it a De La Rue or Somerset House example?

@jiris490: a clear enlargement of the leaf would be helpful.

Unfortunately, I have no idea. My copy of SG states, "For very full guidance, Volume 2 of the Stanley Gibbons Great Britain Specialised Catalogue should prove helpful." I don't have that volume. I also still have problems telling if they are on chalk-surfaced paper or not.
