I don't know anything about Steiner pages. But you might try looking for WWII German Occupations. Stamps were issued 1941-1943. |

Ok. I'll look both spots. I maybe should have said Channel Islands?? As I don't need specifically WWII. Just older issues. My mistake. Maybe it's just the few GB Regionals I found that are in Big Blue. |

A bit confused here. Are you looking for early Channel Island stamps or the album to put them in? |

Album spot in big blue if applicable. I can't find Channel Islands which I'm guessing includes guernsey. |

I have no idea how Scott and Steiner work. From earlier posts, I would expect these stamps to be in the Great Britain section. The 1940s stamps are either German occupation issues when the islands did not have postal independence from the (UK's) GPO, or the British issue to celebrate the liberation of the Channel Islands. I would expect these to be treated as Back of Book.
Alternatively, they may be in a section of German Occupation issues (except for that last one). |

I see the occupation issues on the last page of the Guernsey 1999 file in my Steiner pages.

I can find Channel Islands in Big Blue. There are a very few Regional QEII in Great Britain. But I see no Channel Islands. |

Quote: I see the occupation issues on the last page of the Guernsey 1999 file in my Steiner pages. I would suggest you look at Jersey as well. That was the other island with occupation issues. |

Yes. Hoping an 'ol timer can help here. Going to look again when I get home. Begs the question - wonder if there is a list anywhere of what included in Big Blue. I looked at Big Blue Blog for Guernsey and didn't see it or Channel Islands I believe. Going to look more closely again in a bit - I may have missed it. |

I talked to Marty @ Scott and he said Guernsey didnt start issuing stamps until the 1950's. Maybe that's why there is nothing n my older Albums. But im a little confused as I read in my Stamp Atlas book that the Channel Islands locals started in 1941. Im guessing that I'll need a British album set. Even Scotts checklist does not start until the 1950's he said. |
