Last year I received a large stamp collection and I'm not sure if there are any particularly notable stamps I should be aware and what I should so with it. I have no interest in keeping the collection. So any information on the stamps or where to take them would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter took pictures of most of the stamps and put them on google drive here:

Thanks in advance.

I can not see any of your stamps, but you ought to find a stamp club in your area. Someone there will help you with your question Go to www.stamps.org to find a stamp club in your area

There seem to be nothing notable. If there is a local stamp show in your area you could see if a dealer there would buy it as a group but that is doubtful.

If you still mail letters, you could gather all of the unused USA stamps after 1940 for use on your mail.

Then I would get a large priority box, take the pages out of the binders and place them in the box until full. Repeat as necessary. then mail them off to:

Stamps For the Wounded https://www.stampsforthewounded.org/

I was started during WWII to help wounded veterans and continues to this day. They would love the donation and send you a receipt. In turn the material will go out to help many veterans, both wounded and those having a hard time. It is 100% volunteer run.

I would make this recommendation any day, but today being Veteran's Day there is no better day to make the recommendation.

I could however it took a few hoop jumps to get to where they would display. Once I could open a named file, I got a list of images which when I click on one, it opened. I could then scroll through that photo by photo by clicking on the "<" or ">" on the image.

I concur that finding a local stamp club or local stamp show may be of benefit. Some options I found in your general vicinity...

Second Sunday Bourse, 2nd Sunday of each month, Maplewood Community Center

Minnesota Stamp Expo, July 19-21, 2024, Crystal, MN, www.MnStampExpo.org

Twin Cities Philatelic Society

Granite City Stamp Show, April 20, 2024, St Joseph, MN, www.StCloudStampClub.org

Northern Philatelic Society & Library, Minneapolis, www.NorPS.org

Dealer: Golden Valley Stamps & Coins

Overall, I did not spot rare content in your photographs, though I feel it is beyond an early beginner's collection. It would be nice if you knew someone who had established a collection in recent years and wanted to expand it. Personally, I think the ration stamps were the most interesting aspect.

I took a look at a few of the picture files. The Citation album of US stamps has minimal stamps from the 19th century, all used, lower value items. Nothing there to keep me looking for US stamps elsewhere in that large photo collection.

I am not a worldwide collector, so I avoided those photos.

One file contained WWII ration books, stamps, and news articles. Might be of interest to a collector of postal history of that era.

Good luck on finding a buyer for the entire collection.

Georgie, did you ever decide what to do with this collection? I think the suggestion of contacting a stamp club is a good one or attending one of the upcoming stamp shows.
Another option would be to sell it on ebay. You have all of the detailed pictures which will help. List chunks of the collection separately to maximize your proceeds. But you probably won't realize nearly what you expect.
But if I were you I would probably try to attend the stamp show in St Joseph in April and explore your options.
Good luck!
