I'm not sure what these are or if they carry much value today but they were purchased from Bookmark Collections in 2001 for $2400. If anyone knows anything about their value *** Edited by Staff - Please review the rules that you agreed to when you registered. ***

This picture is terrible, but they look like the 1958 set of President Tubman's visits of European countries with the flags missing (frame only), or wrong flag (other errors too?).

The errors were deliberate to milk the philatelic market. Self-respecting catalogue editors (they are getting scarce) would not list such fabrications. Consequently, I wonder if anyone will pay even USD 500 for them nowadays.

Whoever paid that much sadly got ripped off, in a really terrible way.

Do you mean that those three stamps were purchased for $2400, or that a collection of hundreds of permutations of the Tubman "varieties" was purchased, of which those are just three examples?

Both would be sad, but one would be near criminal.

Yeah I have the receipt where someone paid $2400 for them in 2001. They were purchased from Bookmark Collections LLC. It's a total of 28 stamps. Some with flags and some without. I spoke with a guy named Bill from the Memphis Stamp Society and was told they were not issued by the government and most likely not worth much today.

There is a lot of this type of Liberian material floating around.
