To those of you who organize by country and date: I'd love to see what some of your pages look like.

Is there another way to organize? I mean, there are many ways to place or layout stamps, but not really that many ways to organize in a way that doesn't make one look like an escapee from Arkham Asylum. Or are there?

Topical collections might be organized by subject matter.

On the other hand my pages look just like Scott, Minkus, Harris and White Ace intended, although often with fewer stamps than I would like.

Do collectors of mushroom stamps just randomly mount them to a page? Like, Canada 1983 next to Japan 2005 next to USSR 1970? Hope not. Even thematic/topical collectors don't have many choices beyond geography and chronology, AFAIK.

It's the different layouts that I'd like to see.

I would suggest you look into a membership in the ATA - www.americantopical.org
Another option might be to check with a local stamp club and attend meetings and/or shows

This listing provides an example. It won't be available forever, so save image captures if you like what you see.

I was a biologist for awhile and if I were a topical collector of insects, mammals, birds, etc., I would probably organize them based on taxonomy rather than country and year.

I create my own pages, I collect by year, only because I'm old school.

The page below is from my Belgium collection. Colour proof and the stamp issuede in the serie. I always wait setting up pages until I have material enough else I have to rearrange to often, but it happens.

I have usede MS-word to set up the page, but there is a lot of other software you can use.

Thanks Viking, That's a very good looking page.
I'd like to see what topical collectors are creating with all their many choices.

One of my thematic collections is about "Mythologies of the world". I organize the stamps according to specific subjects on album pages, although it is not comfortable and I still keep many stamps in stock books. Here are several examples:

Those are beautiful, and just the sort of thing I want to see.
Your penmanship is excellent. Mine, not so much. I am considering not writing any information on my pages except perhaps the year.
