The following picture shows 2 different packages of hinges (one type shown front and back). One was made in Great Britain and the other in Austria. I have 900 of the former and 6000+ of the latter. All are unfolded.

I don't really use hinges, so just wondering if these are any good.

Why don't you just try them?

It was really more of a question if I should keep them and perhaps offer them to someone, or just toss them. Perhaps someone here is familiar with them. I guess I can just try them.

I've had pretty good success with old hinges being peelable. Give a couple a try on some junk stamps and within an hour you will know. The ones that are curled might be to hard to deal with.

I believe you will find, by experimenting, that they are excellent, peelable vintage hinges. Please do not toss them, as they are quite valuable to those who use vintage hinges...

There are people that would pay for these! If you don't want the hassle of selling, there are many more people that would be happy to pay the postage/packaging/time to get them shipped to them rather than the trash can.

I don't know how these compare to the famed Dennison hinges and I hear those go for $15 to $20, or more, per 1000. Am I allowed to ask what would be a fair price for what I have? I could bring them over to Gitner and see what he thinks.

About $9-$10 per thousand, at least.

Test them on worthless stamps. Let dry for a week. If they are NOT easy peel, do not use them.
Go buy the easy peel varieties.
