It has a very crude overprint.

It sold for $ 271. If that was a genuine bid, I wonder what the bidder was hoping for. A bad day at the printer's?

Bargain hunters and I guess you can count me as one as well, will look for that a deal. Which I admit I have found a few in the past. In most cases the old saying is true. "If it is to good to be true in most cases it is not". When I do buy a bargain it is below current market value by half or even more. " buying a sound stamp at 10% of Scott's is a bargain on better stamps. I will note that lately you can find a bargain on ebay if you take a look. I bought some very good stamps for far below there market value to to have. Most of the time you have to watch what you buy and who you are buying from on ebay. So I guess not everything that shines like gold is gold most of the time it is iron pyrite ( fools gold ).

Studebaker, I too was suspect of this line, but reviewing some line pairs I have, I noticed several lines are not straight, similar to this pair. Here are a couple examples of line pairs I don't think anyone would ever waste their time faking. Thoughts?
