First, my apologies on the scan quality. I'm on dial-up (12 thru 24 Kbps) and had to drastically reduce it.

I believe this to be Hermann Goring. In the Scott catalog, I see Hitler (#SP202) on the same style stamp, but I dont see a listing for this Imperforated sheet listing Goring. Any help with a catalog number and or value would be great.

The "Göring Imprisoned" Propaganda Parody

Unlike the civilian patriotic label above, the "Göring imprisoned" label was apparently produced privately for profit. Some individual who knew of the British propaganda stamps showing Heinrich Himmler and Hans Frank apparently thought that he could swindle a gullible public by producing a Hermann Göring stamp. Forty years ago at the old Interpex Stamp Show in New York City one dealer had a brick of these sheets about an inch thick. He was selling them for $3 each. A few years later when they became better known they were being offered for $25. They are complete frauds, but interesting enough that I suspect the price might approach $100 today. Stamp collectors will buy anything!
