Why in the world would you take a cheap shot at me just because I thanked Sinclair2010 for posting? And while I should not have to explain myself to you, I will. I was thanking him for posting, like I have many times for many other people. I know his level of experience, and I know how much he posts. These things led me to thanking him for participating and sharing his US stamp experience.
And since you are also wrong (so far) about being locked...I'll await your apology for your incorrect assumption.

Whatever I apologize to you. It was not my intention to criticize you, but I maintain my conclusion abouth the stamps in question.

Stamphunter wake up. There are several pros on this site. Some are or were expertizers for the major certificate organizations. This group has a huge amount of expertise collectively. You are not aware yet but you hit some major players. Yes the PF makes mistakes as we have seen on this site quite a few times.

Stamphunter1,
Understood; and please note that I have not offered any opinion on the pair.

Stamphunter, you were also asking about the value of the pair which is impossible to discuss until the stamps are at least properly identified.

When I looked at the original images you posted, it looked like the grill for the left stamp crossed the perforations and went into the right stamp. The right stamp had several short perforations that were caused by the grill crossing those perforations. Those two factors alone pointed strongly to a split grill. Strike 1 on the PF cert. I-grills are small and H-grills are much bigger. Since the grill was split, the actual size of the grill apparently escaped detection by the PF. Your additional images were not much better but were good enough to count enough points in the vertical direction to easily call it an H-grill. Strike 2 for the PF cert. Not sure what the PF was doing that day but the cert is wrong. Accept it and expect better from the "experts".

Stamphunter - you seem to have taken the comments of collectors as criticism of you and/or your stamp. If you look at the comments, you'll see that isn't the case. Rather, the concern is to help you, given the possibility that you have been misled by a mistaken opinion from the PF, and to suggest that you might revert to them in the light of others' views.

The pair definitely does NOT have an "I" grill. I agree with sinclair2010's inputs, and the PF got it wrong on their opinion this time.

seems sort of easy to see there are 12 points across the left stamp, not the eleven that defines an "I" grill

Noticed this pair on ebay today. Same incorrect description and certificate. Nothing that was said here had any impact on the OP... typical.
