Hi all
Is there something unusual about the crown?

If the stamp was issued 2 August 1930, it can be cancelled in September 1930.

What do you think is unusual?
Are you confusing part of a cancellation with the crown itself?

The printing looks weak, thining the lines of the cross on the crown. That makes it appear lower.
The 'broken pearl' maybe another manifestation of the same weak printing.
Maybe someone with a specialised catalogue can tell you if that is a constant flaw.

It's a cancellation not an overprint.

I think OP refers to the 'FIVE PENCE' overprint. That is how I looked at it.
