Please can somebody identify this stamp. It has been cut to shape and I assume this detracts from the value. It looks quite crude, probably a cheap forgery?

Considering the quality of the printing, it may have been cut out from an old album page. |

Stamps from this period that have been cut to shape aren't uncommon. See the GB embossed issues and NSW large diadems as two examples.  |

So much for me being definite about the watermark being horizontal. Now I have a better light it appears to be vertical.  |

It is a stylised sideways swan. As I suggested before, have a look at SG18, 1857. The swans are where the 'POST' of 'POSTAGE and 'PENC' if 'PENCE' are. |
