Can One Pre Order New Issues?

Was wondering if one can pre order from USPS site new to be issued forever stamps?? Not seeing on their site….

If it is not yet released but showing on there online order page, you will see a preorder button

That's because a release date has not yet been announced. It appears to be one of the last stamps to be issued in 2024. There is a possibility that it could be released at or to coincide with GenCon in Indianapolis, IN which will run from August 1-4.

Stamp store does not identify release until about 4-6 weeks prior to issue date. Once a firm issue date has been noted an item number will be assigned for each type of issue. Sheet, booklet, or coil assigned xxxx04. If multiple types of the same issue multiple numbers with 1st 3 digits different to differentiate type. FDC xxxx16, DCP, xxxx21. Special order (single, block of 4) xxxx01. Sometimes you need to use the filter (column on left for some items like stationary or yearbooks or top tabs for specialty items (collectors). Just weave your way through the site. Ask for the quarterly Philatelic it's free & depending on frequency of use they provide a pre-printed order form & reply envelope in the catalog. (I've been using the USPS Store for over 40 years & and find no significant issues with their service.)

Seems like 4 - 6 MONTHS rather than weeks. The latest published release date is reportedly August 16 for the Autumn Colors issue due to be released at the Great American Stamp Show in Hartford, Conn. Dates for when the stamps are listed for pre-order in the USPS store may be different.

Finally got a USPS clerk. They said keep checking back. They could not even find the release calendar on their site! Gonna check back as mentioned above.
