Question.....I have this stamp from Australia....14.5X14, A4 design with Watermark 9 INVERTED.....can not find a 14.5X14 with Wmk 9 in Scott's 2020 Classic Specialized 1840-1940. (there is a wmk 11 but no 9)
Anyone have a specialized Australian catalog that could possibly find a number for this??? I really like the inverted watermark...so its a keeper.

Its gonna be hard to see the Wmk, so I am gonna try and get another photo of it when I can jury rig a camera.

Here is the wmk picture rotated so the frontal image match's the gum side...the perfs match better so you can tell it is inverted.

OK, here is a better picture of the watermark itself......It's a Number 9 right?

There is that yes, but I think that's for the 1/2p green and 1p carmine stamps in the Kangaroo series....

The Scott catalog does a poor job differentiating between KGV perf varieties. The 2023 Scott catalog groups the 1p red with watermark 9 (single watermark) under Scott #21 and its suffixes, but it generalizes the perfs at 14. My 2023 Scott doesn't show a value for an inverted watermark, either.

A 2010 Stanley Gibbons catalog that I have access to lists your stamp as SG 21cw. SG 21c is the 1p carmine-red, die 1, watermark 9, with 14-1/4 by 14 comb perfs. SC 21cw is the same with an inverted watermark 9. The 2010 SG catalog values SG 21c at .60, and SG 21cw at 2.75.
