What a loss to online philately. He was a true & tireless contributor to the hobby. Rest in peace. |

Such a shame, I knew StampSmarter sounded familiar and turns out I spent days reading it a couple of months ago, wonderful work, may he rest in peace |

Such an incredible loss! His contributions to philately cannot be overstated. My condolences to Don's wife and family.
Does anyone have details on the foundation and how to contribute?

A truly sad day for philately ... and for this forum in particular. RIP Don Denman. You are missed.
Added: For those wanting to donate to Stamp Smarter, there is a "donate" button on the initial Stamp Smarter (stampsmarter.com) web page. I made a small donation early this month. Even though he was in poor health, he still took the time to send me a "thank you".

I have no words for this so I will use these. Don will be missed.
God looked around his garden And found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering He knew you were in pain. He knew that you would never Get well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb. So he closed your weary eyelids And whispered, 'Peace bethine'. It broke our hearts to lose you But you didn't go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. |

Still in shock even as I knew it could happen at any time. Don was larger than life, incredibly smart, and will be missed. The philatelic world definitely lost a great one. My condolences to his family. |

Don Denman, through his prolific contributions and wisdom, made this a better chatboard for all. I am thankful to have a community forum, and access to the shared perspectives of people like Don.
His StampSmarter website has grown leaps and bounds, proof of the value in giving back to something you love. |

He gave a ton of effort to our hobby and he persevered thru his medical issues for far longer than most (all?) of us could. We should all be half the man he was. |

Gut punched. I knew he was battling cancer but I guess I chose not to realize it was as bad as it turned out to be.
I never met Don in person, but did manage to sell him a few things for his collection though this website as a result of posts he made. I had material I wasn't that interested in, but he was. He was very fair in his offer and it was an easy yes for me.
He was very generous with his advice, and I am sitting here looking a the printer he convinced me to buy. He took a look at the website I was planning to buy from and doublechecked what I was ordering to make sure it was right before I finalized my order. I asked him several questions and he took the time to outline all sorts of plusses and minuses and things to consider. He was right! A HP LaserJet 4250 is big and takes up a lot of space and was heavy to carry upstairs, and it has been great ever since it arrived with zero issues.
The fact you are here reading this sad topic is proof Don was part of our lives, and I look always looked forward to taking a look at new posts everyday when I come home from work.
RIP Don, we miss you already! |

Damn. Just yesterday I noticed I hadn't seen him posting in a few days, checked and saw that his last visit to the board was on March 13, which was worrisome in light of his recent post. Alas... Rest easy, Don. |
