Have inherited stamps from my father. I am having fun sorting and looking at the history. However, I am not a stamp collector and would like to sell off everything after 1920 for now. I have stamps mostly from European countries(50+). How can I sell oversees as I don't qualify yet with ebay to sell other than USA and Canada. I did try to reach out to some European auction houses and philanthropists but they don't buy from Canada because of their tax laws, etc. ?

Visit a local stamp club and ask for advice. Usually, you will find someone who will tell you what you have and whether it will bring in some money. Or you can ask a local dealer for advice. If the dealer mentions a price, look for one or two other dealers.

A German dealer might offer you a better price for German stamps but not necessarily for French stamps. So you might be better off looking for a dealer around where you live.

Why not show a few pictures here so we can give you a rough idea of how much effort it's worth your putting in? In general, if a collector spent serious money, there's some likelihood of continuing value. If they collected as a childhood or occasional hobby, the financial value is likely to be low.

Considering the German stamp OP posted in another thread, that might be much more interesting than the usual inheritance pictures posted.

From the pictures you have posted, my opinion is that there is some value here. Since you live in the Lower Mainland I would suggest that you contact Frank at FvH Stamps in Vancouver and make an appointment for him to look at what you have and give you an estimate.

You only have to be careful about reprints and forgeries.

This might require a dealer specialising in German states to give you a quote.

Since you live in BC, I would recommend contacting Firmin at Weeda stamps in Victoria. Super friendly and knowledgeable, they run monthly consignment sales online.
